Reminiscing in Tempo ReviewTeddy Reig produced records by such artists as in the 1940's as Charlie Parker,Miles Davis,Stan Getz,Dizzy Gillespie,Don Byas, Erroll Garner,Dexter Gordon,J.J.Johnson and Lester Young for Savoy. He had the R&B hit The Hucklebuck for Savoy with Paul Williams. He then went on to record
Johnny Smith,Getz,Sonny Stitt, Bud Powell,Quincy Jones and Harry Belafonte amongst others for Roost.Then to Roulette where he recorded Count Basie, Joe Williams,Sarah Vaughan and Maynard Ferguson as well as
latin players such as Willie Bobo,Machito,Joe Cuba and Candido. The book covers the years from the mid-forties thru much of the sixties. Some of his final sessions were done for Verve. There are number of interviews where people who knew him discuss their impressions and experiences. Such as Erroll Garner,Jerry Wexler,Paul Williams,Johnny Smith. Good discography and index.
