So, I'm usually a skeptic on business books because I do not take much away from them that I can use in my own career. This one pleasantly surprised me. There was quite a bit of useful information that I can directly apply at work, home or really any interaction. I liked the fact that the author focused on developing skills in a way that mesh with my personality instead of trying to remake me into someone else. The section on neuroscience was also new and interesting to me and I would have liked to seen more on that topic.
I'm mid-career and I always wanted to have a professional coach to help smooth out some of my rough edges and get me to that next stage of my career and this book felt like my first sessions. Overall, a useful book with advice I can implement in my life and definitely worth a read.
