Keeping Watch: 30 Sheep, 24 Rabbits, 2 Llamas, 1 Alpaca, and a Shepherdess with a Day Job (Gender Studies Women) ReviewI bought this book because I am from the same area as she and her husband live and actually know her husband's parents. She writes of how they got into the business of raising sheep and of her yarn business. She writes of the life and challenges of farming and raising sheep and the various other animals and trying to break even. There was humor in the stories too. The time someone had 5 angora rabbits for sale and she was going to go look at them and her husband decided to go along. He said if he went along maybe there would be more of a chance of her coming home with one and not all five. And of the time she almost came home with a camuel. The stories of her animals and their antics and personalities are heartwarming. I really enjoyed the book and hated to see it end.
