Mr. Razzetti uses a style of writing that is both narrative and structurally outlined with notations for senior level executives to understand and refer to as needed in managing essential operational and environmental control processes.
The book begins with a straightforward outline of a strategic planning process and discussion of important characteristics of effective teams and members' roles. Mr. Razzetti demonstrates a mastery of the skill in taking well known but often misunderstood management and organizational control concepts and discussing them in plain English for easy comprehension by busy executives.
The traditional vision and mission statements development with practical strategic planning steps, concrete goal setting, milestones and action plans are well explained with practical examples. The insertion of CEO notes is eye catching for the fast reading and rapidly paced executive.
Enjoy Mr. Razzetti's listing of the Snuggle Bunnies which is humorous and a real tension relieving description of naysayers to structured planning and those without commitment to planning for change and improvements.
The author takes time to provide understandable definitions of commonly use metrics, job descriptions, teams, managers, dashboard technologies and techniques to insure accountability and high standards performance.

The inclusion of risk management with discussion of discipline subjectivity is most interesting, especially when considering the formula: risk = criticality X vulnerability X threat.
We are not disappointed in getting caught up on advances in quality management system from ISO 9001, ISO 14001 to MVO 8000.
Mr. Razzetti concludes his work with a comprehensive and detailed listing of appendices, including Checklist for Sabanes-Oxley attestation, performance indicators, business continuity management, security, environmental and, of course, quality management systems. This 80-page addition undoubtedly took great time and effort!
My only disappointment is that a CD containing appendices was not included with the book for even greater and expansive usefulness for the serious-minded executive looking to improve his/her organization and accountability!
